Stockton Camps 3rd-5th Grade

A Summer of Curiosity, Creativity, and Confidence

Our 3rd–5th Grade program is meant for students entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, designed to spark curiosity and help students fall in love with learning through hands-on exploration that is not only educational, but fun too! Campers experiment with science through projects like designing and launching mini rocket blasters, express themselves through art projects like painting, crafts, and creative design, and collaborate on team challenges that turn learning into an adventure.

The elementary program introduces students to critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration through joyful, hands-on learning. At this stage, the goal is not mastery — it is curiosity.

A Day in the Life at Camp!

Mornings at Stockton Camps start with smiles, routines, and a lot of excitement. As campers arrive on the University of the Pacific campus, counselors are ready to greet them, help them settle in, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and excited for the day ahead. Campers are welcomed into their groups right away, creating a sense of familiarity and belonging from the start.

After arrival, campers gather with their group for a relaxed morning check-in. Counselors walk them through the plan for the day, talk about what activities are coming up, and answer any questions. Campers then head off with their small group and familiar instructors, helping them feel confident and supported as the day begins.

The morning is filled with hands-on activities designed specifically for 3rd–5th graders. Campers might be building and testing a science project, painting or crafting something creative, or working together to solve a fun team challenge. These sessions are energetic, interactive, and carefully guided where kids are always learning while having fun.

By lunchtime, campers are ready for a break. Lunch is a chance to relax, refuel, and enjoy time with friends while eating a balanced, kid-friendly meal. Campers share stories from the morning, laugh a lot, and reset before the afternoon.

After lunch comes rest hour, which is especially important for younger campers. This is quiet, supervised downtime where campers can read, draw, journal, take a short nap, or simply relax. It helps everyone recharge so they’re ready to jump back into the afternoon with energy.

In the afternoon, campers return to activities—sometimes continuing a project from earlier in the day, sometimes trying something completely new. This is also when teamwork and communication really shine, as campers collaborate, share ideas, and build confidence with support from instructors.

At the end of the afternoon, the camp day wraps up. Campers are safely signed out and picked up by families, ensuring a smooth and predictable end to their day.

Every day at Stockton Camps is thoughtfully structured to balance fun, safety, creativity, and rest, giving our students a summer where they feel cared for, confident, and excited to learn.
